Our Story
AgYield’s CEO, Justin Kelly, grew up seeing how every decision on a farm shapes a season. Later on the Chicago trading floor, he saw those same decisions ripple through the markets.
Over years of helping producers manage uncertainty, Justin and the AgYield team noticed a gap. Students understood the science, but not the pressure, timing, risk, and financial decision-making required in real agriculture. That’s why Justin and AgYield created The AgYield NextGen Foundation to close that gap and help students build the confidence and financial literacy needed to lead the future of agriculture.
The Problem
Students graduate with strong technical knowledge but little real-world practice. Most have never managed a crop season, reacted to market changes, or made financial decisions under pressure.
This gap puts the future workforce and the broader agricultural ecosystem at risk.
AgYield’s Solution
The AgYield Simulator
Created and powered by AgYield, this six-week classroom experience mirrors a full growing season. Students react to USDA reports, market changes, and weather shifts. Every decision carries real consequences.
AgYield’s long history in risk management and market strategy ensures the simulation is accurate, practical, and built for modern agriculture.
AgYield NextGen Scholarship Competition
The AgYield NextGen Scholarship Competition lets students apply what they have learned for a chance to earn scholarship awards. Performance is judged on strategy, decision quality, and financial literacy, rewarding students who show the skills needed for modern agriculture.
